Manhole molds are characterized by extreme depth-to-diameter ratios. We utilize thick-walled forged steel and reinforced core support pillars to prevent core shift during high-pressure injection, ensuring the wall thickness remains uniform.
Cooling deep vertical cores is critical to cycle time. We design spiral baffles or BeCu (Beryllium Copper) inserts inside the core to extract heat efficiently, preventing warpage and reducing cycle times (often 2–5 minutes per shot).
Manhole bases often have multiple pipe inlets. We engineer hydraulic/pneumatic side-actions (sliders) with precise locking mechanisms to form pipe sockets accurately and ensure smooth retraction without damaging the part.
We run MoldFlow analysis to predict sink marks on thick flange areas and optimize packing pressure. The mold structure includes support braces to prevent mold deflection under clamping force.
